Tartan Army Charities

Tartan Army Children’s Charity – The Tartan Army Children’s Charity (TACC) was established in 2006 by supporters of the Scotland National football team to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. The charity’s mission is to support disadvantaged children in both Scotland and the countries where Scotland’s national football team competes. Tartan Army Children’s Charity is a registered Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) – Number SC038330. TACC operates entirely on a volunteer basis, ensuring that all funds raised go towards helping disadvantaged children, minus minimal operating expenses. Scotland football supporters, known as the Tartan Army, provide most of the charity’s funding. Since its inception, TACC has donated over £900,000 to worthy causes.

Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal – Membership in the Tartan Army extends beyond a passion for football or representing Scotland internationally. It is characterised by connections formed around the world, one of which inspired the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. For each country the Tartan Army visits, a local charity receives a donation, with a presentation typically held on or near match day. Scottish football supporters arriving in traditional attire often leave a memorable impression on both the children and staff at these organisations, who value the lively, personal engagement. Pipers’ musical performances are also especially well received. Scottish football fans, motivated by national pride and a desire to make a difference, established the Sunshine Appeal, which embodies the passion and spirit of Scottish football.
