Cricket may not enjoy the same national prominence in Scotland as football or rugby, but the sport has firmly established its presence, with a long and rich history. From historic club matches to international competitions, Scotland’s cricket scene is filled with passion, camaraderie, and love of the game.

Cricket was introduced to Scotland in the 19th century, appearing in 1832. Over the decades, it slowly gained popularity, particularly among Scotland’s elite and the English expatriate community. By the late 19th and early 20th centuries, cricket had become a well-established sport, with competitive matches being held across Scotland.
In the early 1900s, Scotland started competing against other nations, and by 1994, the country was inducted as an Associate nation of the International Cricket Council (ICC)
